People always ask me what pressure washer they should buy. The truth is it barely matters — Karcher, Kranzle or any decent domestic machine will do the job. What makes the real difference is the kit you bolt onto it. Here is the exact setup I use and recommend to everyone starting out.
1. Start with a short, stubby gun
Whatever machine you own, the first upgrade I always recommend is a short stubby gun. The long stock guns that come in the box are heavy, awkward and tiring to hold all day. A short stubby spray gun is lighter, easier to control and far more comfortable when you are washing car after car.
2. Run two foam cannons, not one
This is the tip most people miss. I always use two snow foam cannons instead of sharing one:
- Cannon one — pre-wash. Your first foam, to loosen the dirt before you touch the paint. I usually run an alkaline pre-wash foam here.
- Cannon two — contact wash. The shampoo you actually wash with. I usually run a pH-neutral shampoo, or an acidic one if I am removing water spots.
Keeping them separate means you never mix an alkaline pre-wash with your contact shampoo, and you can switch between the two in seconds.
3. Keep a third bottle just for sealant
If you apply sealant through a cannon, keep a separate bottle only for that. Sealant can clog a foam cannon — how quickly depends on the quality. Some clog after just a few uses, others last hundreds. Either way, you do not want it drying inside the same bottle you wash with. A spare cannon bottle kept only for sealant saves you the headache.
4. Everything fits: we only use M22-14mm
One thing that trips people up is fittings. Connectors come in different sizes and nothing lines up. To keep it simple, everything we sell uses the same M22-14mm connector — so the gun, the cannon and the Karcher adapter all fit each other straight out of the box. Buy it all from us and it just works together.

- Two snow foam cannons — one pre-wash, one contact wash
- A spare cannon bottle kept only for sealant
- The right Karcher adapter for your machine
