Book one
Starting a Mobile Valeting Business
How I built MC Detailing, and what I'd tell you to do differently.
Everything I worked out the hard way since starting in 2024: what to charge and why I raised prices four times, what the van and the kit actually cost, the insurance question that catches people out, how to get your first customers, and what to do when a job goes wrong on someone's driveway.
- Every price I've charged, and the reason behind each increase
- A worked example of what a job leaves you once costs and time are out
- Setting up: registering, insurance, tax, where your wash water goes
- My exact wash workflow, and which chemical I reach for when
- A toolkit of checklists, templates and customer message scripts
Who it's for
Anyone starting a mobile valeting business, or running one and guessing at the parts nobody writes down. It covers the valeting itself and the business around it, but not detailing work such as paint correction or ceramic coatings.
The pricing, the workflow, the customer handling and the checklists work in any country. The money is in pounds and the admin chapters use the United Kingdom as the worked example, so if you are elsewhere, swap in your own country's rules and the rest carries over.
