Where it started
I'm Martin. I have loved cars since I was young. I passed my test a month after my eighteenth birthday, and I have washed and looked after my own cars ever since. That is where this comes from.
Today I run MC Valeting & Detailing, a mobile valeting and detailing business covering West Lothian and central Scotland. I am FEYNLAB and BRILA certified, and fully insured. I also run MC Detailing, the online shop and the TikTok Shop. MCX grew out of that work, and out of wanting to build something of my own.
What MCX is for
Every MCX product has to be genuinely useful. If it only looks clever and does not earn its place in the boot of a van, it does not carry the name.
The MCX Extractor Attachment is the clearest example. It plugs straight into a wet and dry vacuum, so you get proper extraction without buying a dedicated machine. A full extractor still has its place. I use one in the garage when the seats come out and a car needs stripping back for a full deep clean. But as a mobile detailer, a machine that size takes up space I do not have and only comes out for the deepest jobs. The attachment does most of that work, and it travels.
It is the very first product I brought to the detailing community, and the response answered the question for me. More than 600 sold in a few months, rated 4.5 out of 5 and above.
Where it goes next
Chemicals are next. The same rule applies: every product does one job, the name says which, and it has to solve something real before it goes in the range.
